SGtD Question

    I am working up a GM NPC R8 Astromech Droid. He is lvl 3 Scoundral and lvl 1 Independant Droid.

    I am running into some trouble with the stat block info provided on page 128 of SGtD. It lists such things as

    Issue Routine Command ( 1 swift action, 1/turn)

    Recharge Shields ( 2 swift action, 1/turn)

    Regulate Power ( 2 swift action, 1/turn)

    and the part that is throwing me off is do these count as talants that a droid PC starts with since they mirror talents in function or would it be something they have to pick up along the line?

    If they are something all droids of this type get from the start then, then how would it effect my NPC if I wanted to take the slicer talent Gimmic? Would he even need to take it or is he considered to have it already as far as game mechanics go for choosing other talents that have gimmic as a pretalent.

    Feels like I am cramming for finals but I am trying to increase my learning curve.

    o the info only works if using the protocal system? I'm not using that system as my group is very small and as we flip the GM hat this droid will become my PC for those games.

    So do I just ignore the second block of info and focus only on the first updated block.

    I've been worried I was being an annoyance to the boards. I deeply hope and sincearly not to be a bother to you guys. I am very grateful for the help and answers.

    Learning a new system is hard

    doing it and trying to be a GM for the first time in your life is hell on wheels. I am glad for knowledgeable people to bounce ideas off and and get imput.
