Appearance
Argo is of average height and is somewhat stocky. He wears his brown hair in a new military style cut and is clean shaven. He has rugged good looks and carries himself with a demeanor beyond his young years.
Background
Argo Helvizc was born on the planet Talus in the Corellian Sector. His parents, Myrna and Vix Helvizc were farmers that owned a small ranch in the grasslands that raised Huf duns, large peaceful herbivorous native to Talus, that were difficult to domesticate. He was the youngest of three children, his oldest sister Wrin and his older brother Thome. He did not know his older brother at all; Thome was taken away as a youngling by the Jedi to be trained in the Temple on Coruscant. The children’s mother had a cousin that was also taken by the Jedi many years ago, so the children of her bloodline were often visited by the Jedi for testing.
Wrin and Argo were raised by their parents to help with the struggling ranch and the family managed to scratch out a sparse living. When Argo was 12 cycles old, Wrin was engaged and married to the son of a local rancher that lived several hundred kilometers away. When she moved away Argo’s workload on the ranch doubled and he managed to learn about computer and equipment repair as well as piloting the repulsor-lift vehicles to herd the large Huf dun. As the years slowly passed Vix’s health started to falter and Argo acquired more and more of the ranch’s workload. He dealt with the Bith and Bothan traders that came to the ranch to purchase the raw Huf dun hair, learning their languages and a bit about reading the posture and gestures of others so that his family would get a fair price for their goods. Argo also became a fairly good shot with his father’s old beat up blaster pistol, fending off predators that would attempt to eat their meager crops.
Argo’s father finally succumb to his illness, not long before the start of the Clone Wars. At the start of the war, the small market for the Huf dun hair dried up as the galaxy demanded more militaristic items. Argo held onto the ranch as long as he could, but as machines started to break down and no money to repair them, things went from bad to worse. Finally, left with no options, Argo sold what he could and boarded up the ranch. He sent Myrna to live with Wrin and her husband on the other side of the plains.
Argo went to the nearest Republic Army recruiting station and signed up. He was shipped off to basic training and is currently awaiting his first assignment.
Personality
Argo has a lost look in his eyes and can be melancholy at times. After his failure with his family’s ranch he refuses to give up on anything, even if it seems futile to others.
