Sand Worm
Monday, August 4th, 2008Designed by ZCalibur.
The Sand Worms of Klydar IV are “pure terror incarnate”, according to the only Imperial Stormtrooper survivor of the Galactic Empire’s invasion of Klydar IV. Utterly massive and nigh unstoppable, they burrow through the endless sands of Klydar IV seeking sand tigers, raptostrichs, dewbacks, dune banthas, womp rat packs, and even smaller Sand Worms to devour.
Sand Worms are a unique species that they do not need to drink water to survive. They instead rely on the bodily fluids of the creatures they devour as well as their meat in order to survive. The Klydarians have learned to tame Sand Worms enough to ride them into battle (which many an offworlder invasion force has learned to fear due to the Sand Worm’s near indestructibility).

Tremorsense: A Sand Worm automatically senses the location of anything that is in contact with the ground and within 100 squares (no Perception check required).
Devour: If a Sand Worm hits with its bite attack against a Huge or smaller opponent, it can make a grapple check with its bite attack at its full bonus as a free action. A creature grappled by the Sand Worm takes 1d8+22 points of damage each round it is in the Sand Worm’s maw. When the creature reaches 0 hit points, it is swallowed by the Sand Worm and continues to take 1d6 points of acid damage each round.
Fast Healing 5 - A Sand Worm automatically regains 5 hit points every round at the end of its turn, up to its normal maximum, until it is killed.
