B2 series Grapple Droid

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Designed by Cortosis

Grapple Droid

The grapple droid, based on the B2 super battle droid model, was a droid model specifically designed for the Separatists’ attack on Coruscant. General Grievous himself personally oversaw its modifications.

Bigger and profoundly more vicious than its predecessors, the grapple droid was equipped with electrically charged industrial pincers, which it used to crush the life from its enemies. The grapple droid excelled at close-quarters combat and its embrace was quite deadly. They proved dangerously efficient against Jedi, who, if grappled, were unable to use a lightsaber.

Darth Maul

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Darth Maul

Darth Maul was a Zabrak Sith Lord during the Naboo crisis. The apprentice of Darth Sidious, he was taken at an early age to be trained in the ways of the Dark Side of the Force. In 33 BBY, Sidious gave Maul his first mission: destroy the criminal organization Black Sun.[3] Maul carried out this task perfectly, dealing the group a grievous blow.

In 32 BBY, the Invasion of Naboo began. Set up by the Dark Lord with the aid of his apprentice, the goal was to get Sidious, as Senator Palpatine, elected Supreme Chancellor of the Republic. After Amidala, queen of the Naboo, escaped, Maul was dispatched to follow her. He found her on Tatooine, were he had a short but intense duel with the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. Later, Maul was sent to Naboo, where he fought Jinn and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi. Though he killed the Jedi Master, he underestimated Kenobi’s skill, and was killed by the young Jedi.

Minor Bureaucrat

Monday, March 24th, 2008

Designed by Donovan Morningfire.

Wherever there is an expansive and convoluted organizational structure, the minor bureaucrat can be found, controlling their small section like their own personal fiefdom. Although the majority of them are found working in a wide number of government positions, they can also be found in corporate offices. To most people, it seems as though the minor bureaucrat derives perverse glee by forcing outsiders to deal with increasing quantities of red tape and obscure forms to be filled out in triplicate.
