Part of the CLONE WARS LAUNCH SPECTACULAR.

Designed by the Retail Clan as an unobtrusive alternative to the Cybot Galactica 3PO-series, the BNY-series was produced in the years leading up to the Clone Wars. While they never gained the widespread acceptance of other models of protocol and etiquette droids, reprogrammed BNY-series droids quickly became fashionable as au pairs to the children of the rich Core world elite. The “ears” of the BNY series served as a secondary set of manipulators, making the droid adept at multitasking and performing tasks otherwise unsuited for their small stature.
The fearsome General Loathsom maintained a BNY as his personal servant. The cute little droid took General Whorm Loathsom’s messages, projected holograms and even brought him tea. Tragically, the little droid was blasted by battle droids confused and surprised by Obi-Wan Kenobi’s outwitting of the general.

Designed by Donovan Morningfire.
Designed to compete with CybotGalactica’s immensely popular protocol droid line, the BD-1200 was built to emulate the appearance and mannerisms of typical corporate secretary, avoiding the usual prissiness of other protocol droids. Its gynoid appearance also helps keep owners from being disgruntled with the droid. The verbobrain was also modified to allow for greater general-usage memory storage, making it a more viable asset in corporate settings. Although not the blazing success that LeisureMech had hoped for, the BD-1200 series is steady seller, being particularly popular with single executives and male freighter captains. Rumors abound of after-market upgrades that enable the BD-1200 to be much more physically “accommodating” to male owners, but LeisureMech insists that such upgrades were never intended on their part, with the installation of such automatically voiding any warranties.
