Exotic Ranged Weapon, Inaccurate
As renowned Jedi-hunters, ingenious weapon designers among the Mandalorians were responsive to the need for a weapon that could circumvent a Jedi’s uncanny abilities with a lightsber, specifically against ranged attacks. The Scatter Rifle was one of these developments, but has seen limited practical use among the Mandalorians and only the most wealthy and knowledgeable collectors, because of its impracticality against non-Jedi. The weapon’s rarity stems from the fact that neither Jedi nor Sith traditions encourage its sale or use, for obvious reasons.
